We’ve told you about why you should want to play Moon, buy lunar land, and have also described some of our gameplay mechanics, but which of our play styles will fit you best?
Our gameplay is focused on three key roles. Pioneers, Scientists, and Generals.
Pioneers:
Pioneers are the visionaries and entrepreneurs that were brave enough to lead the mission to the Moon. They aim to form communities and build a prosperous new civilization. In order to achieve this, they set about claiming the lunar land, technology, and resources needed to build a sustainable economy that provides jobs and opportunities to colonizers. They work on deciding what services and products are in demand, establishing strong supply chains, and setting up industries that provide manufactured goods to Moon colonizers.
Scientists:
Scientists are an essential support role on the Moon. They are the technologists and academics that possess the know-how to create the ideal conditions for the economic and social development of the Moon’s lunar colonies.
The economy and industries within it are fully player-driven and it is the scientists' responsibility to allocate resources efficiently, and plan their community's economic activity in order to aid all future developments. Moon’s scientists are behind most major innovations and discoveries, and they are rewarded handsomely for their efforts.
Generals:
Every civilization needs rules, laws, and a common understanding of what it stands for. Generals are tasked with administrative, political, and military decision-making that affects the formation of Moon’s communities and countries.
An effective General will manage disputes between Moon states, conduct negotiations that can have far-reaching consequences, and in extreme cases, declare war.
For those that are keen to try a range of play styles out, one or more of these roles can be played interchangeably or simultaneously.
